Originally from Wisconsin, Ben began training at Classical Ballet Academy and Larkin Dance Studio. Company Credits include Ballet Minnesota, and Continental Ballet Company. With these companies Benjamin has enjoyed dancing Giselle, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and the Nutcracker. Other original pieces by Andrew Rist include Beethoven’s 6th Symphony, Grieg’s Concerto in A Minor, and Handel’s Messiah. From 2011-2014 Benjamin performed the principal role of the Nutcracker Prince for Ballet Minnesota. Currently Benjamin is performing principal roles with Continental Ballet such as Hilarion from Giselle, and Cavalier from The Nutcracker.

Additionally, Benjamin is a technique teacher and choreographer for Continental Ballet Academy, and Studio Vibe Dance and Performance. Benjamin’s philosophy as a teacher is to motivate students into becoming not only the best dancer they can be, but the best person they can be. To be a great dancer, one must be an artist. You must have passion, drive, expression, and confidence to master the skills it takes to be a star.
